Do all Altro lenses block UVA/UVB rays?
Yes, all Altro lenses offer 100% protection against harmful UVA/UVB rays. However, they are not suitable for direct observation of the sun or strong artificial light sources.
How do I clean my Altro Optics glasses?
Cleaning and Maintenance
Use the microfiber cleaning bag for storage. If the glasses are dirty, use the cleaning bag to wipe them. If needed, rinse with mild soap and warm water. We recommend cleaning and wiping to maintain the lenses.
Is my Altro cleaning bag washable?
Yes. We recommend placing it in a mesh lingerie was bag and machine washing with like colors that cool temperatures. Dry on low. Your Altro cleaning bag is also hand washable using a mild detergent and cool water. Rinse thoroughly, tumble dry on low or hang dry.
What are the polarized lenses?
Polarized lenses are designed to eliminate the glare that is responsible for eye fatigue and decreased vision. Altro Optics polarized lenses are made of shatterproof polycarbonate and decentered to minimize optical distortion in periphery.
How does it work?
When light is reflected from shiny surfaces, it is usually horizontally polarized. The horizontal polarized light is blocked by vertically oriented polarizers in the lenses.

Where do I find my model name and number?
To find the model number of any pair of Altro eyewear, refer to the number printed on the inside of your sunglasses.
Are Altro sunglasses safety rated?
No. All lenses satisfy the USFDA Reg. 2.1, CFR 801-410, ANSI Z-80.3 2008 and EN ISO 12312-1:2013 standards for optical and mechanical performance. Each lens color has a different transmission percentage. They are not defined as safety glasses and they should in no way be regarded as a shield against the risk of accident or injury in the event of impact with a hard surface.
